Wood product quality inspection

Daedeok Analytical Research Institute was designated by Korea Forest Service as a wood product standard and quality inspection agency (Inspection items: Wood pellets, wood chip, molded charcoal, charcoal) pursuant to Article 19-3 of the Enforcement of the [Act on Sustainable Use of Wood].

When manufacturers want to sell wood products, or importers to pass through the customs inspection of the products, pursuant to Article 20-2 of the [Act on the Sustainable Use of Wood],each items(pursuant to Article 14, Paragraph 1 of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act)must be proceeded with safety evaluation according to Article 15, and quality standard test for wood products according to Article 19.

Daedeok Analytical Research Institute is analyzing wood pellets, wood chips, molded charcoal and charcoal products that can be used as fuel.

Inspection items

Daedeok Analytical Research Institute is providing analytical services of biomass fuel used for 5 major power generation companies (KEPCO subsidiary), IPP, and other industries, applying quality standards of each power generation companies.

We issue official certifications after the analysis according to the international standard ISO.

Through partnership with Control Union, a global certification institution, we provide inspections, quality analyses and pre-shipment inspections for overseas factories. We also provide information of seminars in and out of the country on biomass distribution and industry.
